Week of 3/19/2017

Quote of the Week: By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail. - Benjamin Franklin

Good afternoon,

I would like to give a BIG shout out to all of the students and staff that came out to Saturday School today. The students were working hard and showed appreciation for the additional opportunity to rise higher on the Milestones. Getting up on a Saturday is difficult however we had smiling faces and great attitudes for everyone that was in attendance. This is conference week. I have read several comments requesting more information about scheduling. Please contact your child's homeroom teacher if you have not scheduled your conference. All conferences should have been scheduled as of Friday. We would like to have 100% participation. If you need transportation, please contact the school. We will be more than happy to lend a helping hand. We look forward to seeing all of you this week.

Ms. Tolbert

Announcements:

If your child is a walker, please speak with them regarding their safety. We have had an increase of reports that students are walking in the street, play fighting, and not being aware of traffic. We are working with ACCPD to have a patrol car placed on Cedar Shoals Drive to assist our students. Please continue to contact the school if you notice unsafe behavior.

  • This is Early Release Week. Beginning Wednesday, students will be released at 1:30 from school. Please make sure that you have arranged transportation for your child(ren).
  • Yearbooks are still available! You can purchase one for 24.00. Please see/call Ms. Nix for ordering information.
