Week of 1/28/18

Quote of the Week: If you're a parent, the most impactful work you'll ever do is "parenting." Parenting changes the world....for better or for worse.  Principal Kafele

Afternoon Panther Nation,

I hope all of you are enjoying your day and staying dry! In light of the incidents that have occurred in and around our community, I want to encourage you to STAY ENCOURAGED! It may be hard to look on the brighter side of things when all appear dark but believe me, there is a ton of light that is shining in and around Hilsman. I want to reassure you again that your son/daughter is safe. At Hilsman safety will ALWAYS be our top priority as we reach to teach our students. Please continue to engage your children in conversations about making good decisions and knowing when to simply say NO.

Tomorrow is a new day and we will arrive with smiles as we work to move forward together. Students should arrive no later than 8:20am prepared to learn. Every student should have a 3 ring binder, notebook paper, pen/pencils, and a book bag. It is also our expectation that they leave school with the the same supplies as they are needed to be successful students. Thank you to the parents and community members that have made donations to our school. They are greatly appreciated.

See you tomorrow,

Principal Tolbert
