Happy Friday Panther Nation!

Thank you to all of the parents that came out to join us for the Grade Levels' Parent Night! Although we wish we could have had a larger turn out, we appreciate those of you that came out to hear about the great things happening at HMS. If you missed the presentations, they were linked on FB by the grade level teachers.

We had a fun filled week at Hilsman! Students were observed working hard while teachers were delivering some great instruction! Students also celebrated with Cedar Shoals this week as they prepared for their homecoming today. They did an awesome job!

Please continue to encourage your scholars to be respectful and kind. The number of fights have decreased the last two weeks of school. Transitions are smoother and students are beginning to take ownership of their behavior and learning. We are teaching to reach every student at Hilsman.

Progress reports were sent home Thursday. Please take time to review your child's grades. If your child is failing a course please get them signed up for PSP ASAP! If teachers have not already contacted you, they will be in touch with you next week. We are working to put remediation plans in place to ensure that ALL students are meeting standards and passing their courses. Remember it takes a VILLAGE! Tomorrow is Saturday in Athens! Enjoy your weekend and we will welcome everyone back on Monday!

Thanks,
Principal Tolbert
